Let us make entertaining your guests a pleasure for you. Gourmet dining in beautiful surroundings in our private dining room, Chef on call, full service, attention to every detail. Tariff/guest starts at $40 for dinner. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and high tea are also available, as well as receptions, weddings, private parties and executive meetings.

Breakfast is served in the formal dining room. Table settings are of antique china, silver, crystal, and linens from the owner’s extensive collection. Early risers will find coffee or tea ready by 6:30 A.M.

Our full Southern breakfast, cooked “from scratch,” includes juice, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, sweet rolls, country ham, sausage or bacon, grits, fried apples, soufflé, omelet or other egg dish, and of course, homemade bread, jams, and jellies. We often include other house favorites as well. Special dietary needs are provided with adequate notice.

Whether it is intimate dinner for two or a dinner party for hundred, all food is prepared on premises.

The Colonial Tavern Room offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a unique dining experience. A delicious period meal, prepared just for you in our restored fireplace and ovens is an unforgettable way to celebrate any special occasion. Fresh meats and vegetables are expertly combined with our own herbs for a truly memorable culinary experience.

 

Your wild game or ours can be prepared in the Colonial Virginia tradition. Costumed evenings can be arranged as well as Tavern musicians for a complete historic experience.

Treat your family and friends to an evening’s entertainment as well as dinner. To arrange your special tavern event, we require reservations, and three days notice. Tariffs start at $40.00/guest

Our neighbor Thomas Jefferson—Bill Baker, the official Williamsburg Foundation Representative and his friend and colleague Benjamin Franklin—Ralph Archbald, the official representative of the City of Philadelphia departing after partaking of our hearty Tavern Room fare.
